"Bars and Bows" is the debut album by Tandem Duo. It consists of original arrangements of older pieces that were written for different instrumentation. Many of the tracks use extended techniques on the marimba, especially bowing the edge of the bars.

The album was recorded in a single afternoon using complete takes, no splicing or editing of notes was done. The recording has the sound of a live performance.
